World's Oldest Continuous Rodeo

It's Rodeo weekend in Payson, Arizona. We want to invite you all to come out and support the World's Oldest Continuous Rodeo that will be held this Friday and Saturday at the Payson Event Center.

Also don't forget the always popular Rodeo Parade down Historic Main St. on Saturday morning at 9 AM. APS Clowns, floats, and much more.... It's the August Doins in Payson...this weekend!

Rodeo Schedule

(Aug. 16-18)

Thursday, Aug. 16, gates open at 5 p.m., performance at 6 p.m., Payson Event Center — Women’s Professional Rodeo Association events, plus mutton bustin’ and steer riding for youngsters; admission is a can of food for area food banks.

Friday, Aug. 17, gates open at 5 p.m., performance at 7 p.m., Payson Event Center — Tough Enough to Wear Pink Performance — for every rodeo cowboy and audience member wearing pink, funds are donated to area cancer support groups; ticket information is at 928-474-9440 or

Saturday, Aug. 18, 7 a.m., Payson Event Center — Free steer roping event. The Rodeo Parade starts at 9 a.m. at Green Valley Park and heads east on Main Street and ends at the Sawmill Crossing. Gates open at 11 a.m., performance at 1 p.m., Payson Event Center — Coca-Cola Family Day performance with special family admission for $40 for four and lots of giveaways for the kids — all kids get free ticket for drawings. Gates open at 5 p.m., performance at 7 p.m., Payson Event Center — Special Patriotic performance, all active military admitted at no charge.
